BeIN Sports have released footage apparently showing that the ball remained on the pitch for West Ham's controversial opener against Arsenal.

However, to most of the Emirates and many frustrated Arsenal fans across the world, the ball appeared to be out of play when Bowen crossed. Yet, a new video supposedly "proves" that the goal was right to stand.

presenter Andy Gray explained with a laugh: "We were able to put the ball to an absolute circle and make it exactly the right size it should be in the footage. And then it proved conclusively, conclusively, conclusively that that much [a few millimetres] was in!"
Arsenal can be understandably frustrated at yet another close call going against them this season. In their defeat to Newcastle, Mikel Arteta bemoaned the decision to allow Anthony Gordon's goal with the ball also seemingly out of play in the build-up. However, whether technology is correct or not, Arsenal's finishing on the night was simply not good enough to deserve anything from the game.
